I have been getting announcements from the folks at SCALE due to a different expo that I attended. Has anyone attended the previous expos?

As a barely literate linux user, would this be helpful at all in my internet tablet adventures?

I'd like to learn more than beyond the basic commands for files, telnet, and ftp. However, I would not even begin to know where to start.
