It's in Polish, but in short, a user of that forum called arcean prepared a power pack for pr1.3. The first post of that thread has a sort of a changelog (in English!) of what it's supposed to bring to our N9's. Have anybody seen/tested this before?
If not, what you have to do to get it is:
- first make sure you have inception/open mode installed
Installation instructions come directly from the first link and were made by the author of this package (arcean). I did not install it yet, because I modded my phone heavily with N9Quick Tweak and I'm not sure how those two would work together. From user reports it seems it works OK and brings some improvements for apps using qt-components. Also, some people had to reflash phone after installation :/ but presumably due to installation errors on the user's end. Anyhow, just reporting what I've found
EDIT: minor edits
Moderator edit (18-07-2013):
Newest version: PowerPack 0.3.0
Maybe send arcean a PM to do a thread here? IIRC he created the thread here for LED Event Notifier on the N9 too...
Edit: To me it looks like he has done something like unrestricted system-ui whereby the original system's packages are replaced by his packages to enable further modification of the system...Maybe PM him and ask him to explain it
a polish friend of mine had a look at it - the author says that he heard from his sources that a pr 1.3.1 update is coming (soon) and it will be mostly bug fixes and no new features.
and he writes about tizmee and powerpack, but doesn't mention what the powerpack is/does.
I just installed this PPack and I must say I'm amazed. FasterN9 + this and wow, everything is way faster now. Even selecting text in browser is better. And it's not just a reboot placebo, for the past couple of days I restart my n9 constantly as something is wrong with it and when I unlock button/double tap I just get a blank screen and restart is the only option.
Don't use it. I have been using it, and yes, it improves it, but some of the packages break compatibility with existing apps. Rg, qt-components package messes up Wazapp, and since installing this power pack, I can no longer copy paste to/from browser url box.
I am in the process of reverting the changes atm, after having this on for the last 3 weeks
I can no longer copy paste to/from browser url box.
strange that you're having that issue. I've had no such problem with the stock browser. I was careful when installing qt components, can't remember the exact order, but it has been fine here with wazapp.
