I don't know about the funding situation since I'm only the developer of the open source apps.formeego.org client app, but from what I've heard, the service is in maintenance status. Fixing bugs, but not adding new features.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the plug will be pulled soon. It just hasn't been publicly announced yet. Please talk to me or ivgalvez about using your app at the new community website.
we've had hildonfoundation.org available for the new community website since September. I don't know if it will be used. Unfortunately, the website (and other things) are being held up waiting for Board elections.
