Sorry! I looked for a way to delete my post below, but did not see an option in the edit area screen.
--------------------------------------------------
Hi there,
I have nginx and php5-fastcgi running on my N800. With those tools, I'm planning to use a couple of simple web apps/ pages (e.g., tip calculator, photo viewer, etc.) on my n800. However, I found that I can't access localhost or 127.0.0.1 unless I have a real active connection --- which would render those web resources unaccessible unless it's connected to something. If I'm in offline mode, I get prompted to exit offline mode, or if I don't have a connection set up, nothing is found.
My question is this: Is there a way to create a fake loop-back connection to fool the N800 into thinking its connected to something so I can access the web server that I'm running?
Any help is appreciated!
H.
