1080p in phone... wake up! 1920x1080 pixels! Where we need that, if you do not even see those on computer screen (usually 1680x1050). The N9 sceen is 3.9" and 854x480. It's just fine! 720 is more than enough.

I like .deb -system too.. There is new command on .rpm

Just for the record, the Tizen developer device actually has a 1280x720 pixel screen.

of course I want it to be as-like-as N900 specially in software and operation system ..
but the hardware , I love that comes in N900 but i need some improves like :

1- dual or quad core possessor with no less than 1.2 GH .
2- more screen size and pixels , no less than 4.0 inch , and no less than 720p... and I prefer it to be resistive cause it's better for tinny icons and drawing in MYPaint .. ,, and of course : Stylus capable , with one included in the device like N900 Stylus , but will be better if it was longer .
3- physical keyboard with numbers and new keys like : F1 F2 ... and esc .
4- dual speakers with more strong and clear sound , also will be great if they put something like Dolby system to improve music sound .
5- internal RAM with no less than 1GB . and more rootfs size no less than 512 MB .
6- internal storage with 64GB and above , with removable SD Cards up to 32GB or more if available .
7- removable battery with stronger capacity ,
8- 2 usb output at least one of them must be usb3.0, so u can charge ur phone while using the other usb port as hostmode .
9- HDMI
10- one output . 3.5 jack for : headphone, microphone and TV output , just like N900 .
11- bluetooth 4.0
12- FM receiver with internal antenna , and transmitter but must be stronger than the one in N900, ( the transmitter is so weak in N900 ) .
13- IR will be good if available .
14- great camera like PureViewe 41MP .. with slide protector just like N900 .15- Full HD 1080p video recording .
16- front camera with no less than 2 MP and 720p video rec .
17- xenon lights for camera , with led lights for video rec or to use it as a torch.
18- same options in N900 : side lock screen , power botton , camera botton ...etc .
19- wifi with stronger antenna to capture the weak signals ,.
20- 2 kickstands to put the device on the table one on each corner .. this will make the device more stable while using .
21- full flash support with latest flash player update.

ooooh my God ... I know my wishes might be impossible ... but if all these things can be gathered in one device with Maemo operation or something like it .. it will be the most powerful phone ever created ...

U think just like me .. I loved ur choices, I also want the new device to be Maemo operation system .. maybe Maemo 6 .. and also Maemo 5 is great .,. I just want to use all apps in N900 with all beautiful features of Maemo 5 like great multitasking and terminal .also menu statuts and 9 desktop are greats .. by other word : I want Maemo 5 with better performance.

Open sourced drivers, or as close as you can get. Monitor and injection mode should be possible on the wifi card.If developers can know the guts of the device and have no restrictions, even the crappiest of hardware can be remolded into some pretty impressive things.

But if you're looking for specifics...how about some dual band?


And make the casing rugged. My n900 won a fight against asphalt at least 4 times. I loved that.

I'd like a successor to the N9 that has a Pureview/N9 camera. I dont use HDMI out, i dont need a keyboard. I dont care about the rest of the specs, it just needs a decent camera!
