Okay, got it ordered. The N810 had disappeared from http://store.nokia.ca/ but going straight to http://www.nokia.ca/ and following the links worked. Now back to waiting until it arrives (they claim Purolator shipping, but I've heard they use UPS instead).

Total was $175.79 including GST and Manitoba sales tax (5%). Only a few bucks less than an N800...

Hey did y'all see this

Hmm.... you would think with layoffs on the horizon, there would be a little bit more urgency to get this mess cleaned up. It's funny when I worked at Ericsson and we had a deadline the US and Swedish groups would work together, and could address the issue around the clock, to get it resolved in record time.

There is absolutely no connection between the closure of the Bochum factory and glitches with maemo... so how would one drive urgency with the other?

But it is nice to hear how others have managed to avoid imperfection and error. Thanks for sharing!

Right, I got that, I was just hoping that since the Canadians were working, seemingly without an announcement email, that perhaps the US would be.

I'm not saying it's a root cause, but so many maemo issues have different time zones as a factor contributing to confusion and lack of information. IMO maemo needs a official representative in every major time zone. If any of the frazzled maemo team is still reading this epic rant, I would gladly take on the role for the US. That would require a new position, of course.

I had the same problem - try using the main http://www.nokia.ca/ and then follow the N810 links. Hopefully your code will then work. Good luck!

Was your code selected as US? or other? ... I'm afraid that's the cause :-(

Originally it was US, but Quim changed the Canadian code recipients' store to Canada. Maybe he missed you?
