I was wondering if anyone could help me so I could stream the Peekaboo video over the internet for anyone to see, rather than just me. I'm trying to stream the video on the N800 (OS2007) but no one else can see it because apparently i'm working on WLAN (according to a friend...i've got no idea what a WLAN is myself).

I know it has something to do with Port Forwarding, but I've been trying to read up about it and i'm getting extremely confused.

Does anyone know how to do it, or has done it themselves, and could guide me through how its done?

The Peekaboo tutorial explains this:

http://peekaboo.garage.maemo.org/tutorial.html

"Current version of Peekaboo does not work properly behind NAT. To be able to stream to internet, your N800 should have public ip address."

Since you're behind a router, you're behind NAT, and don't have a public IP address.

You can configure port forwarding, but it may or may not work:

Find the guide for your router on:

http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

Now, forward ports 8080 and 8888 to your N800's ip address (probably 10.0.0.? or 192.168.1.?). Note that your N800's ip address may change, depending on your router model, every time you connect to your router.

Now, give your friend the Peekaboo address: however, it will be your external IP address --- shown on http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm --- not your internal IP address.

Let me know how far you get with this, and I can get more specific

It wont work becouse peekaboo generates html code with the IP address it has, if n800 running peekaboo wont get public ip address, html code still will be generated with NAT ip and so the browser try to load stream from NAT ip.
