    1. trash can dont work. if i put something into the trash can. its says it already exists. if i open it i get an error "A folder names /usr/share/mime/Trash already exists".

    2. How do i add/remove items from the desktop?

    3. How do i Add/remove items from the taskbar.

    4. Anyone got a right click workaround?

    1. Trash can works for me - are you dragging and dropping the application icon to the trash can? Not sure what you're doing...

    2. If trash doesn't work, you can use Konqueror and navigate to home/user/desktop from here you can add/delete/edit items to the desktop. You might try opening trash from here too - maybe you corrcupted your trash file?

    3. See number 4 in my post on page 1 of the KDE settings recommendations thread.

    4. No, I've searched and searched and can't find a solution. There are alternate ways of doing almost anything - what are you wanting to do?

I tried No. 2 and all i got was "A folder named /usr/share/mime/Trash already exists"

makes no difference what i drag into the trash can. it says it already exists.

Just created a folder on desktop, and then dragged it to Trash - worked as expected here.

    N800/Booting from SD Card

Not running KDE here yet, but EmelFM2 whines at me every time I start it,
because it "Cannot create trash directory /usr/share/mime/Trash/files".
    Related?
When I try to create the Trash directory manually,
I get "creation possible: no(cannot write to parent directory)"
Root is the owner. I haven't deciphered what the permissions mean yet.
    Wicked noobish here.

For those with the Trash problem - did you install to SD or from Debs?

Looks like a permission problem with the DEB's

    As root, run

    chown user.users /usr/share/mime/
    chown user.users /usr/share/mime/Trash

    does this fix it?
