    The latest version made Opera completely unusable for me; every 9/10 times it crashes either while loading the first website or while typing in the search box. On those 1/10 times it worked pretty much as before, but I did indeed encounter the "whole display goes bg-colour when you scroll" bug.

    I downgraded to 11.5.

    Did anyone sniff what chat is going on between opera and servers?

    Also, some of those retrieved files have local cache in ~/.opera/ judging from timestamps and filesizes...

    BrowserJS is Opera's sitepatching ie making Opera compatible with sites without updating the binaries. It gets updated every week or two. This is what was fixed on the 9th.

    I didn't realise this was in Opera Mobile but the dates match perfectly so it's likely the culprit.

    If you reinstall, block it updating (read only?), that'll probably fix it.

    I'm a Maemo noob so someone try it.

    Edit: above doesn't work for me. Opera won't even reinstall.

    The desktop version has been having problems with SPDY and the latter might be an awesome feature for us.

    Just a question, as I see you live in Syria. Can you access all sites from all around the world or do you have some of them blocked (like e.g. Opera's servers)? If the latter, that would mean shadowjk and _David_ might be right and blacklisting the download of these files might be a temporary fix...

    I was thinking about the ones shadowjk posted in http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=1347 e.g.:
    • http://xml.opera.com/userjs/fusion/?...&version=12.10
    • http://get.geo.opera.com/res/service...10-20121109.js
    • http://sitecheck.opera-mini.net/?hos...A05lz2stYVKA==
    • http://sitecheck.opera-mini.net/?hos...A05lz2stYVKA==
    So basically
    • http://xml.opera.com/
    • http://get.geo.opera.com/
    • http://sitecheck.opera-mini.net/
    By the way, did you guys notice that when you use "www.google.com" the "http://sitecheck.opera-mini.net/?host=XXX.XXX&hdn=B5AsQM9wqPA05lz2stYVKA==" gives xml with different nodes than "google.com"? I don't think that's related, but just noticed that

    Can you check the date of the keychain.ini and browserjs files in ~/.opera?

    If your browserjs isn't 9th Nov, can you zip it and upload it somewhere?

    I don't even know what keychain.ini does.
