Overall, is anyone else disappointed? This looks almost exactly the same as what Blackberry 10 is doing, but doesn't look anywhere near as advanced or polished. Lumiaman has a point as well. I'd like to see how Jolla Mobile handles web browsing, or integrating with e-mail. Fluffy UI's and background images don't do anything for me.
* BB10 is not Open SOurce.
* Jolla is Open source
* Jolla runs Linux and not some RTOS.
* Jolla is using true QT
now thats of the biggest reason to go Jolla instead.
Polishing of Icons etcs.. is probadly up to the companys that will use Jolla (==they can be replaced). Also vanilla Android looks crap.
It was beyond horrible. After the hype they received i thought they would have done better job on the A day.
Rather than being the "social and friendly" Jolla they did on the presentation i would have wished it to be a lot more professional if you want to be invested as a company.
Hiring marketing people costs alot of cash. They better wait and use marketing guys when announce the device.
Infact I say they did a great job cause of the facts that theyr are mosly sw/hwengineers == real geeks. Not some marketing guys who doesnt know anything about engineering.
