There is no way of doing that, yet. This has to do with the news stream and that I can't access it via the normal API. Still working on possible workarounds, though, stay tuned.

    Hi all,

here is the next public beta version: 0.6.0 (stable).

Download page (with changelog since last stable version 0.5.1) can be found here.

    Direct download link is here.

Here is the changelog from developer version 0.5.2:

    * Added image caption in user feed
    * Added quick menu for images in user feed (long tap on image)
    * Added external Nokia Maps link to location detail page (long tap on map)
    * Added detail map view to location detail page (long tap on map)
    * Added "tap header to jump to top" behavior on all list pages
    * Optimized image detail component in user feed and detail view
    * Optimized image caption in detail view
    * Optimized touch behavior of reload buttons in top header bar
    * Optimized name and location fields to fit, elide or wrap
    * Fixed bug where location detail page could be loaded multiple times at once

    About this version:

There are lots and lots of ui and code optimizations in this version. So this release is all about usability and joy of use and I think it's quite a good step forward for Instago. The goal of course is not only to replicate features found in the official Instagram client, but to make Instago usable and fun.

As ususal the version is tested on my N9 and runs pretty well. Please report all bugs or quirks you may find here or on the project page.

    Some general things:

    * All old links to public beta versions from the download page are deprecated. You can still find all old versions by selecting "All downloads" instead of "Current downloads" in the search dropdown. Alternatively you can find all versions (including the developer releases) in the repository

    * To keep track of feature request (mine and yours) I they are added to the issue list of the project. If you want to take a look and add some of your own you can do so here.

As usual more information and general stuff is posted on my n9 development blog.

    Happy testing!

    Fabulous!

One possible nice addition: being able to swipe left/right to browse through a user's photos once one has zoomed in on one. Otherwise, one has to always hit the "back" button and select the next from the overview.

Sorry if that has already been requested/discussed.

I thought about this a bit and finally came to the conclusion that the way the official app handles this is the best approach.

Generally you would want to use this as a way to swipe to the previous / next item in a list after you chose an image from the gallery view. This in itself makes sense and it a valid request.

The way the official app handles this is to offer a toggle between gallery and feed view for all logical cluters of images. So instead of swiping you would just scroll to get to the next. As the gallery view is essentially the detail view anyway it makes no difference and acts as a vertical swipe.

Summary: Good point, I'll add the gallery / feed view toggle

    What do you all think?
