by multimedia msgs feature i mean sending and recieving text , audio and video files
We already receive text, right?
Audio and video files will be implemented when I fix the issue that the reception of those files hang the phone completely and I have to take out the battery (and it's NOT fun). That would be like the last thing I will implement in Yappari before I consider it finished (it is last in the ToDo list in the first post of this thread).
So far audio and video has priority 0. There's also the "player problem" after downloading those files.
Next release will be a smileys release and some bug fixes. All new smileys are already implemented. Also already done is smileys rendering in the main window (the current conversations list) and the Create Chat dialog (so you can see smileys in the status of your contacts).
Also you will be able to insert smileys in your status.
Bug fixes include auto-sorting of the conversations list (recent conversations appear first now). Also timestamps were not refreshed after midnight. Yappari is also now optified, and some other stuff.
*Maybe* Yappari 0.0.27 will be in the repositories (haven't decided that yet).

ohhh... thats indeed a lot of stuff....
looking forward for the next release. thanku soo much scorpius for this amazing app
I don't know if it's said allready, but when I create a new chat i'm no longer be able to put in any letter (the first letter of the name I want to chat with). It was possible in version 0.25 but now it isn't working anymore.. Is this problem allready known?
i am connected to internet at that time and logged in. i am chatting wid d sender most of the time someone tries to send me a pic and it disconnects, in the middle of the chat.
I also think there is still a problem here (another than with offline messages). There are pictures that I do not receive. After I saw some messages like 'haha, nice food your eating now'.. I ask other people that are in the same group-chat (but sitting next to me at that moment) 'Was there a picture or what?' an then they said yes. Also when i'm online at that moment.
I understand, no log is no help, so I'll try to reproduce the problem and post you a logfile.
If when you say close and re+open the app, you mean quit and open (qiut on settings menu), then is normal, that is because is synchronizing contacs (depends on how many you have, more time will slow).
Does yappari make sure that a message is received by the server?
i.e. If I send a message while yappari is disconnected, will yappari send this message as soon as it connects to the internet? And would it retry sending it until a confirmation from the server is received?
I'm asking because sometimes my messages never get the green tick-mark, especially when the connection is changed from cellular to wifi or vice versa.

No. Offline messaging is not implemented and your messages might have a gray checkmark forever if you do that.
