About a week and a half ago, I was surprised to find that when I opened up the Conversations app, it had no history of any SMS text messages or IM conversations. I could find them when I went into individual contacts, and pulled up the conversation histories with them individually, but no other way. I thought maybe there was some kind of storage problem--that perhaps I was running out of space, but no, I've got plenty of space:
Other apps are able to read and write with no problems. I can even add and change contacts. However, new text messages and conversations are not being stored at all. Once I close out a new message or conversation, it's lost completely, and I have no way to retrieve it again. The newest text message found anywhere on it is about two weeks old, and I've plenty more since then.
I have no idea what's going on or how to fix this. I've got the power kernel installed, but I'm not overclocking.
