The ones who haven't deleted their accounts won't get the registration issue because they already were registered in previous versions. But the people who deleted their accounts before installing 0.9.14 will have the issue basically.

the christmas icon means you need to bring another update very soon... otherwise in a few days it gets annoying to have a christmas icon^^
