I just got a 16GB A-Data card for my N800 which has been booting from MMC. After installing the new card, the system locked up, I rebooted the system then leave it in "boot from MMC, partition 2 ext2" option (that has worked) but the tablet won't boot all the way to the OS and keep recycling in the boot menu. I thought something was wrong with the OS on my old MMC (8GB Transcend), so I reloned to OS to that same old card (8GB). And now it is still doing the same thing. What should I do now?
Info: OS2008, still runs fine from flash, the old card was repartitioned and formatted and can read from and write to fine.

It happened to me too and it happened to a 2G and 4G cards.
At first I thought I have damaged the cards but it turned out that you have to run sfdisk and shutdown a couple times as shown in http://maemo.org/community/wiki/HowT..._your_MMC_card
the cards were OK.

The sfdisk command is a must ! Do not ommit it !

I tried to clone to the card a few more times and set it to rest today. It's dead now. the system won't recognize it any more.
