    Somebody posted a bug report about not being able to receive messages from Samsung or Blackberry devices (source: https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/issues/234 ) - can anyone confirm this issue?

    i think the read notification in wazapp is not functioning as it should it is like even before i open n read a msg it shows as read in other whatsapp app on my friends iphone. does anybody else face this ... is this bug alrrady reported ??

    no issues in receiving messages from Samsung galaxy devices till now. Not sure about BlackBerry

    terrylee,

    I think you can try 2 more things before filing a bug:

    - Did you check if the /opt/waxmppplugin/ folder was removed from your device during uninstallation? I think something from an older version may be causing an issue.

    - For uninstallation try doing a forceful purge as in:

    dpkg --purge --force-remove-reinstreq wazapp

    @coderus, I will try out @thedead1440's suggestion first. If it's still buggy, then I'll fill in a bug report.

    In any case, I'll report my findings here too.
