    Hi there,

I would like to use auto completion with mit OS 2008 N800, but the setting (Y) ist not saved which means I have to activate it after all the time manually... any workarounds / Ideas, how to fix that?

    Regards

    Tim

I'm having the opposite problem with the auto-completion/predictive text.

I don't want it to be on, but every time I reboot my N800, it turns itself back on!!

Something in the boot routine seems to force the statuses.

    ok, lets change devices... ;-)

poor nokia support: They have suggested to carry the device to a nokia service point. I guess what will happen there: "oh, oh... oh - we do not know what to do"

If it isn't the OS doing it, it could be any of the sys-tray applets that I've loaded and/or unloaded (after trying them).

Worst case scenario...reflash back to "stone" and then selectively install applications, trying each and rebooting between each one to see if they are the culprit.

Such is life when you have user-supported, open-source freeware.
