When I run ettercap -C on my N900 I get the following error:

ERROR : 9, Bad file descriptor
[ec_send.c:send_init:129]

libnet_init(LIBNET_LINK_ADV) failed: unknown physical layer type 0x334

How can I fix this bug???

What version do you use? I use latest version from the repos and its working fine. Im using the package ettercap-gtk, though...

I am on 0.7.3-2 . From which repo did you install the ettercap-gtk package from?

I have extras-devel enabled and updated and yet I can not see the ettercap-gtk package. mmm

In terminal root do: apt-get install ettercap-gtk, it's a hidden package...

Thanks Mr_pingu,

(Busybox v1.20.2 (Debian 1.20.2power.5)built-in shell (ash)

When I enter that on Xterm with sudo gainroot I get
E: could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock open (11 resource temporarily unavailable)
E: unable to lock the administration directory(var/lib/dpkg/) is another process using it?

As root, do this to remove the lock first:

rm -rf /var/lib/dpkg/lock

Ok, managed that ranbaxy,
Now I get..

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ettercap-gtk: Depends: ettercap-common (=1:0.7.3-2maemo4) but 1:0.7.4.1-1maemo0 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
