On mine it uses 0.0 - 0.3 % cpu idle (logged in) as far as i can see in top. (KP 51r1 CSSU-Thumb @ 500-805 mhz )

You should wait. A multimedia transfer feature besides photos has not been implemented so far and might not be in the future. The focus is on getting the essential and existing features to work stable, only after that new features will be implemented.

Are you using Yappari 0.0.27? Because not only it doesn't happen to me (I haven't received any messages from the server), but Yappari 0.0.27 logs in as a Nokia S40 WhatsApp 2.3.53 and there's no newer version than that one.

Am using 0.0.25 because you said that 0.0.27 is highly experimental

Every Yappari release is highly experimental.

You have no other option but to upgrade.

Isn't it simple enough already? You can install it from the repositories (extras/devel) through the Application Manager.
