Has anyone gotten inadyn to work on the n810 for Maemo4? For those who don't know, inadyn is a dns update client. I have a webcam and currently use inadyn on my Ubuntu desktop to keep my dynamic IP address updated with the web site name.

I have thought it would be great to run inadyn on my n810 when I'm on vacation (leaving the n810 at home) because the n810 draws such little power, and it's better than keeping my desktop PC on all the time.

Things I do know:

1. inadyn is written in C
2. I tried it once before and got some errors, of which I would have to re-check what they are. I think some dependencies were not met.
3. I tried using 'ddclient' instead, which is perl-based, but for that I needed Perl on the n810 and I had difficulty installing that. I think ddclient is less reliable compared to inadyn anyhow
4. While I have EasyDebian installed, I haven't tried installing inadyn directly into that. I would prefer a native Maemo4 version of it...

I just now tried finding source code for inadyn so I could compile it for the n810 directly, but no such luck.

Does anyone else use a DNS update client on the n810, and/or do you know how I could get this inadyn C version working on the n810?

EDIT: I did find the source code at 'http://www.inatech.eu/inadyn/readme.html' but wonder if anyone else has done this or could help compile it?

It compiled without any problems at all. I really don't have time to mess with it, but I put the executable at:

So give it a spin. I assume you have the source distro which appears to include the docs.

I did realize that the original does in fact work through EasyDebian, but I much prefer this maemo version if possible.
