Hi,

I am trying to use the Maemo recorder but I get only silence recorded. How can I check if the built-in mic on the N800 works?

Make a test "echo" call on Skype.

or run xterm and type "microphone-test" (don't know if you have to be root, i dont think so).

I've had a few silent recordings from the Maemo recorder, too. Mic works ok most of the time however.
