Yeah right @coderus, lucky me i have two laptops and N9...if one desen't, then the other one will...but the one with Win7 who seek help...he will have difficult time till he finds out what to do and how to do?

Right - Thanks for all the tips, but the phone is now in the hands of a company appointed by my insurers...hopefully they can repair, though they said if not they will replace with a similar-specced phone.
This could be another N9 off of Amazon (yay) or something else (boo hiss).
At least I still have my N900

I think you're right - and If I take a cheque - Nexus 4 or...JOLLA!!!
