Hi

Love the n800!

I am trying to install libbluetooth2-dev, bluez-utils and every time I run
apt-get install libbluetooth2-dev or bluez-utils
I get this error, its driving me up the wall and I am either missing something right in front of me or just doing it wrong.

I gathered there is a version discrepancy but how do I resolve it?

extract:
Code:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libbluetooth2-dev: Depends: libbluetooth2 (= 3.20-0osso1) but 3.22-0osso1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

UPDATE: Found a Solution:
Code:
apt-get -y --force-yes install bluez-utils

The versions of the -dev packages are matched to what's in scratchbox. And the IT2008OS on the device isn't directly matched to what's in scratchbox...so that's why you have dependency issues. AFAIK, bluez-utils was a package that came with the device, so if you replaced it with what's in scratchbox to make the dependencies happy the you've probably downgraded from 3.22 to 3.20. If you're not careful when downgrading core packages you'll soon find yourself in a reboot loop. Don't get me wrong, I *encourage* playing around with stuff like this, but if you want to avoid unnecessary hearteak and/or reflashing, you might want to switch to root on SD card and even then do regular backups (rsync is your friend). Just my rambling thoughts on the matter.
