Well, well, you see, the iPhone is not a GSM phone. GSM is a 2G technology that is used in Europe only and the iPhone can also use this technology. The iPhone is invented in the US and use CDMA and is selling well outside the GSM market.
That is what the say and believe. No need to wake them up. You need a bigger hammer to wake up a reverse polE.
Out of the four major US carriers, two are CDMA and two are GSM. Most of the "minor" carriers are also GSM. The iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS were not CDMA phones. They were exclusive to AT&T and only used GSM and HSDPA standards. Apple began to make a separate CDMA iPhone for the two CDMA carriers starting with the iPhone 4. Apple implemented CDMA and GSM capabilities in both the iPhone 4S and 5 to save money and time so they wouldn't have to manufacture separate iPhones for each carrier. GSM has been in the US before CDMA. |

The Nokia N9 is sitting pretty on 16M views, just 300k below iphone4, and way above 4s, and 3gs.
But biggest surprise by far, for me, is the top dog is actually the N8.
Makes you wonder, if only Nokia had balls..
