Hello, I recently received a Nokia N900 as a gift and a couple of weeks ago it started behaving very erratically:
- The screen sometimes would freeze, especially while on calls and even hanging up the call would be impossible.
- when i would be using the built-in browser and then an sms would come through, the phone would restart.
- A couple of days ago, i charged the battery all night until the light was green. oddly, as soon as i unplugged the charger, the phone displayed "battery low, shutting down" and it never started again!!! the boot process would begin, but after the initial nokia screen, nothing, it goes dead then restarts... then after doing that a few times, it freezes on a nokia screen whith "Malfunction, device shutting down in 10s!" written in green.
I read about reflashing, but when i try downloading the tools for reflashing (direct from maemo website) they are NEVER available!!!
I went through almost all the suggestions on the site but nothing helps, event when i plus the phone to the charger or to my PC via USB, that same loop happens on and on and on...
Do you have any ways to help me or should i just swallow the pill and get a new phone?
