Yes but the steps are quite OS independent. You need to get the hash from your device
From the hash we can calculate the password, but you need us to pass the hash. Follow the steps he does on the phone, to get the hash (numbers + letters spaghetti

just found new issue.....

phone is not detecting memory card......tried 2 memory cards.....
went to file manager..but alas,no card..only N900...
now phone is in CSSU stable power version50
kindly help

surprised that N900 needs cover to read memory card..funny...

EDIT- tried to format it..confirmed it..but nothing happened and memory card is undetected....tried to reboot but still no memory card....can hear a PUNK sound after shut down....anything wrong?

Is your keyboard also broken? I see all bold letters in your post, but no information.

Did you drop it?

Is it broken?

Are you patient to let it start up, even with some filesystem checks running?

What did you do recently with it?

How did it shutdown the last time it worked?

Did you try to flash the kernel-only, in case it might got corrupted?

Did you try to pull the battery, wait a couple of seconds and then restart the phone?

Is you battery loaded?

Do you have an external charger to charge the battery?

Did you consider searching the forum? Why do you hide the problems you have with your n900 in this totally unrelated thread instead of opening a dedicated threat, that this might deserve?

You certainly do not have to answer each and every of those question, but at least some.

I tried so battery charged. turn, displays NOKIA kislampa blue sky and 5 seconds turns off and does not turn into anything.

-Depends on what you did install before things turn bad, please try to remember. Things like kernel-power, some battery or speed tweaks come to my mind.

-Depends on the state of USB-port of the N900, is it working?

This really is one of the little tricks against boot failure: Did you try to pull the battery, wait a couple of seconds and then restart the phone?

urgent help please...........my cellular network is BSNL...
was running on low balance...got a Rs 100 top up card from a shop..as usual entered code...
phone showing....CELLULAR NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE
what to do? Im not able to put currency in my mobile..
tried GSM,DUAL,3G.....any idea?
