Why don't you take the battery out and charge it with an external charger?

I forgot to recharge my Mugen battery when it came down to less than 10% capacity. It eventually ran out of power and went dead. Could not be charged using regular method (due to software issues recharge won't start if battery is completely dead). I bough a cheap external charger from Amazon and was able to revive it. Or maybe you need to buy a new battery?
