Well, look at the sticky thread on the top of the "Devices/Nokia N9 / N950" forum. There should be everything you need to know.

In a nutshell, you need to get 2 rather large files, the emmc (about 1.6G) and the firmware (about 1.2G), which are dependent on your device localization and version.

Then, flash both images with command "sudo flasher -f -F firmware.bin -F emmc.bin -R"
That operation takes something like 10 minutes.

I got the firmware file through Navifirm but there is no link for the emmc file you mentioned. Where do i get that?

moazzam,

Its on Navifirm too... Typically the file name contains EMMC in it... Paste the screenshot of what you see in Navifirm otherwise for someone to point it out for you...

It's possible you have a bad cable or an USB port on the device that cannot source the needed current.

Happened to me last week; I had a cable that I used to charge my N9, when I connect it to the device it says correctly "charging", but after some hours when I went to see it, the battery had run flat and I needed to jumpstart my phone with the flasher.

With other cables, it works correctly. With this one, it dtrains the battery, go figure?
And to top it off, the same cable works OK for data transfer...

moazzam,

Plug out the USB cable and manually boot it up as you must have not used the -R parameter in your command,,,
