Vimeo app stopped working for several days. I used to watch videos before sleep all the time. I think the problem is related to their new player. I wanted to be sure that there is no way on the user side to fix this problem?

It's been broken for at least a few weeks fot me. Can search and read video info and comments pages, but player never displays video. Eventually returns to info page and pops up message 'Unable to play video'. Have not found solution but cutetube still works for Vimeo, so there's an alternative.
