I would like to know if there are and longer life batteries available for the n810? I am a new owner, I already am planning on picking up and 8 gb memory card, or maybe waiting on those 12 and 16 gb models sandisk(i think it was) said they were releasing (anyone have a set date?); but I want a longer battery life also. This is mainly because I hate DAILY CHARGING! I currently have a laptop and a phone that need it daily... and soon I'm going to need a freakin power conditioner on my bedside power outlet.

I bought a USB cable to charge with while I am on my laptop and I use the AC charger when I am using it at night in bed.

I am also planning on getting a AA battery extender, which should give about 10-12 hours of runtime when I need long life on the go.

I don't know about the 810, but for hte 800 there are extended batteries available on ebay. IIRC, the original battery is 1000mAh and I saw some on ebay as high as 1600mAh. That should give about 6 or 7 hours of battery life, but you run the risk of having a DOA battery, or worse, a bomb. Its generally not a good idea to go half assed when you are dealing with something dangerous such as lithium.

I realize this isn't something to be cheap about, and I definetly want to buy an actual Nokia or other name brand battery, but I don't want to do extended life external sources... I want to keep this small, portable, and without any extra gear.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't meet my needs.... so, are there any actaul extended life batteries available?

Don't know about the battery, but you can get SDHC cards in 16gb and 32gb right now. All SDHC cards up to 1 TB (1024 GB) will work in the internet tablets, even thought they've only released cards up to 32gb.

I bought a AA battery extender once and it stopped working completely in about a month after working erratically from the start. I would be weary of those things. Does anyone know a reliable battery extender after using it frequently for over a month?

I don't believe that it is possible to charge a N810 via the USB port.

No, it is a cable that plugs into the USB port on your computer and then into the DC port of the n800.

Ya, those are only for the n800. There is a Mini SD 16GB card coming out in a couple weeks though along with the 32GB SDHC. It will probably cost about $200 though so don't get your hopes up.

I knew about the cost, but the sooner it's out, the sooner it's cheap!
