I built the power injector v2, plug everything in and turn on. I get the usb icon on my 770, but i cant get the darn keyboard to work. I enabled hostmode via command, and via flasher, neither got it to work. Here is what dmesg outputs:

[ 383.780517] Selected HOST mode: host controller present.
[ 383.878234] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
[ 383.878417] hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected
[ 383.912139] USB cable connected
[ 384.261413] usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci and address 2
[ 384.487060] usb 1-1: can't connect bus-powered hub to this port
/home/user #

any thoughts? Keyboard lights aren't lightin up, however the 770 seems to find it no? Suggestions?

thanks in advance

USB keyboard should work automatically. Try disconnecting and reconnecting just the usb keyboard into the hub and then checking dmesg for clues. Maybe your usb hub (battery powered?) is not generating enough power for the keyboard. It works for me, but I have a AC adapter hub that I modified.

ok, what is the problem here? Here it is, I set everything up, and turned it on, then entered host mode, this is the complete output:
1076.576049] Selected HOST mode: host controller present.
[ 1076.679870] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
[ 1076.680023] hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected
[ 1076.707763] USB cable connected
[ 1077.049499] usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci and address 2
[ 1077.312255] usb 1-1: can't connect bus-powered hub to this port

whats going on here?

get this occasionally too: [ 1235.098327] We haven't got a READY interrupt from WAKEUP

I think the key words here are "bus-powered'. For some reason the 770 does not recognize this hub as self powered.

hm, and it doesnt say anything about keyboard, it must be the construction of the device? you think?

Post a schematic somewhere (hand sketch fine) and I'll try to help.

Alternatively if you want to pay postage to and from I'll send you my three headed cable to test with your setup and you can eliminate that variable.
