as far as i can see i can only find 18500 in 1600mAh but this still adds up to 6400mAh and this should give some SERIOUS runtime when looking at our dual SCUD/Polarcell battery's,

But i can see that 2400mAh should be doable in a 18500 Package, estel it is 18"500" not "650" he is using, but i will say that you have to provide a link at where you bought them then i can test them and see if they really hold 2400mAh, and even more not to believe the HIGH capacity is that you state it only costs 20$...

So please submit a link to the battery's, i would love to do a 6000+mAh battery and if you actually got cheap 2000+mAh battery's then even more awesome, but as this thread shows MANY battery's are to good to be true when they slap on fake labels like some of the 2400mAh BL-5J....

after a pretty broad search im only finding 1400-1600mAh 18500 cells, but again we are looking at a 5000-6500mAh battery then, that's pretty good, im going find some and order and make a special battery just like bogdanov_s and we will see what capacity it will have

I believe he has just 2 cells in that wrap of his. He ids them as 4800mAh thus giving the 9600 ttl. If you are correct and ca. 1500 is a more realistic capacity, that is about the same as a dual scud/polarcell setup.
This is the same game as with the replacement "stock" batteries. As dr_frost_dk has shown in many cases it is "liar , liar your capacities on fire...."

sorry but i can't give you a link i bought them form shop call "Elimeks"
that was the last 2 peaces in my country of them , and they want tell me from where they charge the shop
i'm from Bulgaria
real price is 13,90 lv which mean 27,80 lv for two of them and 18,453362 dolars
i have one more cell of this which are on phone , i make portable charge from one frend i cane make picture of it if you don't belive
and its real
my run time at the moment is 20 hours for about 6-7% battery , not stand by - normal usage

It's not that we don't believe you but i started this thread to find the GOOD vs FAKE battery's and also to build the bigger battery for more runtime, now i have ordered 2x "1600mAh" 18500 cells so far for testing and to see how they fit in the N900.

Still i cannot read some details of what you wrote..

So can you again just write:

* How many battery's/cells are you using? (2 or 4?)

* What kind of battery's? (LiFe/Li-ion/LiPo, 3.2V/3.7V)

* What are the capacity pr battery? (2400mAh?)

Results of my dual-bluedream scud mentioned here:

...after 3 calibrations (quite heavy usage, too - not standby to get most relative mAh). I'm really impresed, it's much more than my first dual battery made of first scud serie, when fresh. It's also in line with other people's tests (single modern bluedream or polarcell for ~1700 mAh), and my external 300 mA constant-discharge results (~3000 mA) - as suspected, relative capacity during variable discharge is much higher, and halved current per cell also contributes some.

When gaing of variable discharge + dual-cell setup is "some" measured as 400-500 mAh - 1/3+ of standard vanilla battery size - I definitelly like it

ok but im sorry to say that they are fake, MAX capacity for 18650 (bigger then 18500) are about 3200-3500mAh so no way that your 18500 are 4800mAh, do you know someone with an RC charger? then they can test the actual capacity.

As far as i can see the max capacity for 18500 is still under 2000mAh but technically it should be about 2400mAh MAX capacity for that size.

Only way your battery's can be 4800mAh is if they have some of the new tech that's being developed, but price should be 200$+ then.

i think that capacity is correct because when my nokia was with 1 that 18500 and standart battery not original 1320mah but about 1000 mah
the sum capacity ~ 6000mah
charge time with 1A charger was about 5h 30 min - 6h
i will test them when i can .

You can also test them on device, via calibrating bq27x00 chip. See my signature for howto.

But don't expect miracles, there is limit of how much capacity you can put inside cubic cm in Li-Ion I'm perfectly sure that you have ~same capacity with this strange design, as we got with dual-scud/polarcell setup inside mugen cover.
