My phone did not want to update maps and I also had problems with routing not working when my phone was offline. Sometimes it found a route but it was far off from beiing optimal. To solve the issue I ended up manually downloading the maps and saving to the phone as described here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maps...ht/true#M28220

Btw, newest maps are .47 version. However, these do not work properly - I tested it on finding a route from Tallinn, Estonia to Split, Croatia and it suggested to go through Italy and using ferry to get to Split?!?!?

Therefore I used .46 version of maps that are working just fine and showing route close enough to the one that Google maps is suggesting and that drivers actually use to drive to Split from Tallinn.

    Here are files that work:
    All Europe maps (3.46GB), version 00.02.46.103: http://static.maploader.maps.svc.ovi...6.103/1032.zip
    ClientIndex files: http://static.maploader.maps.svc.ovi...103/Europe.zip
*Index file is from ,47 version, however, works just fine.

PS! If you manually add maps these do not show on your phone map list. However, they work just fine.

Here is the topic were I asked help with maps and got to the solution: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maem...ighlight/false There you can also find maps for other regions/continents.

    Hi all,

I had the same problem that some tiles were missing. Tried to reload all again and found that again, different tiles were missing. So I seemed blocked and had to dig in ... and found a method to load individual map (country level), which also solves the missing tile problem (as far as I can see):

-so Germany misses tiles, on the highest zoom level.
    -stop Nokia maps
    -edit /home/user/MyDocs/cities/MapLoader/content.xml (save first to org_): remove e.g. <region id="120" name="Germany"> and all entries up to </region> or a <region id="120" name="Germany"/> entry.
-restart maps and you can reload Germany.

After this load the structure of "content.xml" changed for me. Only the new Germany region had still <TI ...> entries. So I suspect that loading multiple countries can cause the problem of missing tiles. Since I started my downloads alphabetical order I looked at Italy. And indeed it missed tiles. So I repeated the process and again for Switzerland. In both cases all missing tiles
appeared again. So for so good

I recently got really annoyed, that Maps/drive on the N9 has some strange bugs related to rendering map data correctly. This gets especially annoying in connection with navigating as suddenly highways stop at a tile border and the routing fails due to that.

I have installed around 10 country maps for offline usage and sometimes (more often recently) I notice that map tiles aren't rendered for certain regions but only for certain zoom levels. I guess this is a bug... see following images for Italy. Have you experienced the same?

    @zappAtom

Sorry for the ot, but watching the image I ask you where you are located (if you will share it). I'm from Bolzano, so maybe we are in the same region.

Hope this helps. My experience installing the last availlable update of maps:
finished / all maps installed, but then there was no maps in the device, so I had to install again about all the same maps like yours (and some more that was installed before).

    Happened to me too.
    Really annoying bug!
But as I am used to that quality level of software from Nokia I did not bother. Try the power search and you will find another thread about that. And iirc the solution was either routing once online and all occurences of missing tiles were corrected. But I amönot sure anymore, so if you find that thread or a solution please post back here.
