I want to know meaning of error log , can we know if there is hardware failure? What "CMT RFS failed" signifies?

See "Revovering from flash errors" at the bottom of the guide.

You need the old firmware (probably 003/China variant - look at the code printed on the SIM tray) and flash with the

Code:
--flash-only=cmt
argument.

Thanks for reply, I have read that section. My phone is central european. Now I have flashed with German fw hence it doesnt allow downgrade. I am suspecting it is hw issue.
Just wanted to know if there is any way to confirm this based on error description.

Hi all,

this is my first post, so apologies if this has been answered before but I searched the forum for two hours and could not find an answer.

I recently bought a used N9 (my third!) and while my others are of the 001 variant this is a 009 variant for which I didn't have the firmware files on backup. The previous owner has messed up with various things and it is necessary for me to restore it to "clean" condition.

I managed to download the emmc file but each time I try to download the rootfs .bin file from navifirm+ or from the following link:

http://nds2.fds-fire.nokia.com/p/d/f...M1-958_ARM.bin

it fails at the 221MB mark.

I believe there has been an attempt by the community to preserve the N9 firmwares independently from Nokia. Does anyone have the file I am looking for or can point me in the right direction?

thanks in advance!
