Quick question: What repos can be enabled when using Thumb? Only the Thumb repositories?

The whole purpose of Thumb is that it runs using the Thumb ISA, and only binaries in the Thumb repos have that architecture. Does this sound OK, or am I mistaken?

You got it wrong, the purpose of CSSU-thumb is to support thumb2-compiled binaries in addition to the ordinary ARM-only compiled ones.

So, you can enable whatever repos you want.

I see, thank you. So even if the OS itself is Thumb2 ISA, you can still use ARM binaries because the CPU supports them. Except I suppose if a Thumb2 version of a binary is available, then it is preferable. That makes sense.

Exactly. Otherwise it would be rather pointless
There are less than a hand full of Thumb compiled applications.

To be fair, CSSU-thumb recompiles as Thumb2 quite a huge number of system binaries; most of the speedup comes from the better compiler, though, rather than the more efficient ISA.

Do you mean before or after installing last CSSU thumb update ? Or are you talking about the very first thumb installation ? Well, i've been using backupmenu for ages and i really don't remember whether it was installed before or after first thumb version. Anyway, how about we move that discussion to backupmenu thread ?
