Would someone be able to share the .xml file for the n900 style keyboard? I've tried using the code earlier in this thread, but it wouldn't work. My phone came up with 'N900' when I swiped the keyboard, but it would just go to the next keyboard, eg. it changes to swype instead of n900.
Thanks for the reply ... but there are 5 files there that are .txt and i tried to rename them to .xml but can't rename these files. And also, the link that shows "N900-like keyboard http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...7&postcount=91" ... it only has the pic of the keyboard layout and no .xml file in it. Please can you re-post that .xml file for us to easily identify and download it ... and also the steps to install it. Thank you.
hi there, is it possible to change the placement of the existing letters in the keyboards? for example, i'm using the turkish qwerty keyboard
and i want to change it like this (turkish f keyboard layout):
theoretically. but will not be good. you can see, normal has 11 characters, F keyboard has 13 characters in longest row. would be better to edit to 11 too. (so like on that meego KB, let it down beside SPACE.)
Copy the text from here into a text file (LF/Unix line feeds, do not use Windows tools), name it N900_en.xml or whatever and continue as already posted.
