What options do I have if I want to save/export call logs and SMS conversations to a computer? I also use Extended Call Log, but I didn't see any export feature in that one, or in the Conversations app.

    How about saving this file?

OK, but how can I make it "humanly readable" (without having to open it in SQLite Database Browser and wading through it)? Is there any way to have the archive in either TXT or HTML format (something I was able to do with MyPhoneExplorer when backing up SonyEricsson's call-logs and SMS conversations)?

I have not even tried, but Call History Export is the small utility that exports phone call log. Upon starting it exports all call records into one text file.

Where should this utility run? I downloaded CallHistoryExport_0_1_ARM_8619.zip file, it contains one exe which I can't run on N900, or on 64-bit or 32-bit Windows.

In case someone else will be looking -- came across a nice app called GlogArchive. Funny it didn't turn up on my searches prior to starting this thread. Well, seems great so far (not only for archiving purposes, but also for searching events).
