For those who prefer nano for whatever reason over vim or leafpad etc... Here are the links to set up nano-tiny, it works great via ssh or keyboard because of the "Ctrl+etc..." functions, it is fast and easy with text based gui.
Nano-tiny arm pkg:
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool....2.4-5_arm.deb
Nano-tiny dependency arm pkg:
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool...9dbs-8_arm.deb

This is also assuming that you already have libc installed.

As root execute "dpkg -x <package name> /"

This will allow "nano-tiny" to start up as user in an xterm.

Enjoy!

Note: If you decide to use nano or if you already use nano, leave a post here, I'm interested in seeing who is interested :P

If you use the "appinstallize" script from the Maemo wiki, you could repackage nano-tiny to be Application Installer compatible and hence put it on the ApplicationCatalog.

Personally, as a Pico-clone I can never get on with Nano.

Cheers,

Andrew

No, and that's the problem :-)

Pico - from the people who brought you Pine. Should be enough to dissuade people ;-)
