Instead of wazapp there should be a decent XMPP client there.

Agreed, but you know there'll be a pile of people whining if there's no official Whatsapp support, as with the N9...

well if it can run android apps there doesn't need to be a load of people whining.

Yeah, let them run Android whatsapp if they so need it.

Sounds like we get an orange and green device to choose from

Got word last night (GMT +10) via twitter form @JollaHQ that they will be ensuring Jolla devices will be available worldwide.
Also suggested that the community can help by making local dealers and operators aware that there is a demand via requests/emails etc.

Have already activated "serial pest" mode with local Aus operators.

This is why I'm so glad they have a Dalvik implementation. They can sidestep many of the problems Maemo & MeeGo had with not providing proprietary apps.
