did you buy it new or refurbished (with a local shop providing warranty instead of the 2 yr NOKIA warranty?) not that one would get a replacement N900 anymore, of course, but...
    where are you shipping to?
i take it you are in Greece?

if it's new whether from e-bay or otherwise, there is the 2 year factory warranty, no?

Check Warranty status by typing your IMEI:
    http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/warranty-check/
    Best wishes.

Thank you wiki the result is : Warranty: Out of warranty in the US (what ever that means).

that's where it was originally sold (part of the IMEI tells that)
means it has been sold the 1st time (i.e. factory new) more then two years ago.

yup, the country part of the IMEI identifies the factory (thus implicitly the country)
it's even crazier w/ my N9 (white one)
bought it on e-Bay from a US "shop"
came with a south-east firmware (Malaysia i think) and when i checked the IMEI it said the device was still under warranty in... UK (i'm on the old world, but not in the UK - have, however, the language set to EN but the country is set correctly (time-zone?))
    go figure
