Sync with Outlook &/or Evolution or some Linux-associated Calendar

Easy front end for scheduling timed events (switching profiles, executing programs, etc.), like N900's Alarmed
(Honestly, if I can't set a phone up as an internet clock radio as I have done with the N900 via Alarmed & some shell scripts, I'll have to stick with the N900).

    Gpodder (or similar)

Car mode for playing music from a media player while handling phone calls via BT in car.

    Modrana map/routing app

Browser - I mostly use Opera on N900

    File manager

Viewers for .pdfs & Microsoft Office items like ppt, .doc, .xls

    BT printing

    ssh access, vnc
    -----------------

    True X-forwarding would be nice.
I'll miss the FM transmitter, but I'll be able to re-group around BT.

I would like to see this functionality:
    • IMAP IDLE support in the e-mail client
    • Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) - should be included in the latest Bluez
    • Menu folders
    • Private mode in the web browser

    ...and these applications:
    • Decent backup application (N900-like)
    • Saera

I second this! I've tried to go back to non-Swype when not using my N9, and my input speed is dramatically lower. We need Swype

I think Anand would easily port it to Sailfish OS.

    +1 to SportsTracker
OBD2 app like Torque or OBD AutoDoctor
    Offline maps and Nav
2-factor authenticator app, e.g. GAuth (Google Authenticator)

A customizable stand-by screen like the N9 is a must! The lack of this makes Android intolerable (although there are some for Android but they drain battery).

A few specifics that I use regularly:

    SomePlayer
    MyPaint
    SunVox
    VU Meter
    FreOffice

A few that I use regularly that could use improvement:

    QNitConverter
    EasyList
    Callerx

Perhaps a decent game or two. Although the best games will be found elsewhere; the default games give many people a first impression of the device.

    1. on-device call answering machine so no need for voicemail.
    2. support for "flash messages"
    3. use camera as a webcam (via bluetooth, wifi and usb)
