I didn't know Jolla already started making a phone. I just had a look at the video. S3Dict is written in Qt, so it shouldn't be difficult to port to Sailfish. However, I would need at least a simulator of Sailfish (or better a phone). So I will see.

In the meantime I switched to development for Blackberry 10, which is relatively similar to Sailfish (and Meego). But I won't be porting S3Dict for BB 10, because similar apps are already available.

Have you replied, pointing the dev to sailfishos.org ?
Let them know the SDK comes with a built in emulator

QUICK UPDATE

I'm working through the list and cleaning up duplicates/numerical errors and updating any info that has been made available to me, via emails from Devs.

I've sent out a couple of dozen emails today, so hopefully will have a nice batch of updates to add to the list over the next few days.

Want to shout out a BIG thanks to all the devs who have shown such enthusiasm and willingness to donate their time and energy to porting and developing for SailfishOS
It's important that you guys know your work is valued and also iimportant that the community is aware, most of the great apps we have on the N9 are free!

I'm shocked to see that those who are interested in a phone that runs free software would at the same time prefer to run non-free, poprietary services on this phone. That's pretty much the definition of absurd.

It's not a matter of prefered, more of a being forced to. And please stop. We had this discussion already several times (even in this thread).

You are entitled to view it that way, and I share your dislike towards the closed IMs, but let's avoid the off-topic in this thread, since this subject is always heated. Here is a dedicated thread for it: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=90253

Another function/feature I would like is for the phone to say the caller's name that way you don't have to look at the phone all the time to see who is calling. I really miss that from Symbian.
