Do the two application managers keep their separate versions of repositories (and if so, should I keep them "in sync")?
I usually use Faster Application Manager for applications installs and updates, and I ran the stock application manager after quite a while. I had forgotten how incredibly slow it is. Well, it found a new version of BlessN900 (0.49-4), which wasn't shown in FAPman (I had 0.49-3 before, which also shows on its website).

Yes.

It's up to you. You can keep them different or in sync, your choice. You can sync them manually or go to "Manage Repositories" in FAM and tap on the top bar. It is a menu even though it is not indicated as such by the usual down arrow. It contains a single entry to import repos from HAM. Somehow though (for me at least), only the repos themselves are imported and not their names.

Well, I have a similar problem because with fapman I miss to upgrade several packages, while with HAM or apt-get I'm able to see the possible updates and to proceed.

I checked the respective sources.list: the one stored in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list has 7 repositories:
Code:
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/ fremantle free non-free
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0 ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/ ./
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/ fremantle free non-free
while the one in /opt/fapman-cache/sources.list has 6 repositories even after reimporting from HAM
Code:
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/ fremantle free non-free
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0/ ./
#deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/ ./
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/ fremantle free non-free

Just remove that '#' in /opt/fapman-cache/sources.list to enable or enable via Fapman-GUI.
