While xkbd leaves me wanting a BlueTooth keyboard instead of that tiny little applet in the corner, I began reading all of the threads about different BT keyboards--I even went to eBay to begin pricing them.

But then it hit me--do I really want another gadget to have to carry around with me?

Then the light bulb (or was it LED?) went off...

My Nokia 9300 PDA/phone has a full qwerty keyboard and BT.

Has anyone thought to try and make this path work before--using your full keyboard phone as a remote keyboard for the N800?

Any suggestions on how I might start to try/prototype this?

Doing a little more research...

According to the device profile in my N800, my 9300 supports DUN (Dial Up Networking), FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and OPP (Object Push Profile) in its BT profile, so I guess all bets are off, right?

Of course, the 9300 also has a Pop-port to USB cable...might that be a route for text entry?

The keyboards work through the HID profile so you'd have to somehow get the tablet to think the 9300 was an HID Bluetooth device.
