After installing a number of apps. The keep-backlight-on-while charging option stopped working. I have not been able to track down the culprit app yet. I have installed the following apps:

Code:
apt-get install aircrack-ng aircrack-ptw bash3 battery-status btaudit dcraw dsniff ettercap-gtk fbpanel fceu flite fmradio free42 ghostscript gnokii grsync httrack iphome iptraf iputils-arping iputils-tracepath isearch-edit less macchanger maemo-mapper maemo-recorder maemo-screengrabber maemopadplus maemoscrobbler mapdownloader mapper maptile-loader matchbox-keyboard mgstmodplug mh-shot-tool minicom mnotify mtr-tiny nano nicotine nmap ogg-support openbox openvpn phonelink powerlaunch pptpclient pwsafe pyplucker rdate rdesktop rsync scim scim-anthy scim-chewing scim-gtk2-immodule scim-hangul scim-pinyin scite sid-support sobexsrv socat speedcrunch starling subversion ping traceroute tsocks upx vagalume vc-epg-widget vim visualboyadvance vpnc vpnc-gui webhttrack wifiinfo wirelesstools xev xkbdbthid xmodmap
I though it might be the powerlaunch but uninstalling it does not fix things.

Any ideas anyone ? Thanks in advance.

It's powerlaunch. The same thing happened to me when I installed it. As soon as I removed it, everything was okay again.

I have managed to get it back somehow, but strangely I had to reinstall powerlaunch, reboot, install it again, reboot and then it started working again. Weird... Thanks for your input.
