Going back to 0.0.9 helps? By "does not work at all" do you mean updating the folder list? If so do you have any folder names (at Dropbox) that have "strange" characters - can you try renaming those folders just for test? If you find that 0.0.10 works after renaming could you please send me example of folder names that caused malfunction?

Yes, 0.9 works great, here's the proof.

With a 0.10 version had some problems ... upload nailed on 0%
Maybe it's just a problem with my phone.

Strange - there was no code changes regarding uploading of files between these two versions (by mistake 0.0.9 sends lots of debug info to syslog - that could be of some importance).
For now use 0.0.9 and when I'm finished with code changes required by Dropbox I'll send debug version so we can see what's the problem.

is there a file size limit?

I seem to be able to upload individual photo's fine, but unable to upload a video (35mb)...

using 0.1.0

Ignore that please, it just took a while to start the upload.

Too late - i just made 0.1.1 version which improves memory usage for large files and should be quicker to start the upload in the first place. Please try it and see does it help.
