Blue VPN on the android side works fine for me, it is however, limited, some apps on Android expect an active GPRS/WIFI connection to work... IE: K-9Mail, Play Store...So it isn't perfect...

Unless anyone else can recommend anything?

On the Android side no app is needed. Just go to Bluetooth and click in the paired N900.
    I installed the
    dbus-scripts_2.0_armel.deb
    from
    http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d.../dbus-scripts/
and did all the installl from
    http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=124
    but when I start the
    tether.sh start
I get an error message "bnep0 does not exist".

I get this message if Internet is up and running and Nexus 7 and N900 are paired.

Anything else I am missing here?
Are there any know problems with other packages (e.g. AutoDisconnect)?

Check that the network part of the bluez stack is enabled. See here:

I am in a hospital with no wlan now so I am somewhat handicapped but find time to pick this up.
The main.conf thing above did not help.
    Still same message.

Does joikuspot work with Nexus 7 now?
    Does joikuspot need any kernelmods?

Joikuspot is for sharing via wlan and it is ad hoc so I don't believe it works with Nexus 7. Even then, qtmobilehotspot is WAY better.

For the bluetooth sharing piece, do you have power kernel installed?

You should install qtmobilehotspot. I think that will pull in other dependencies the scripts need.

If you review the scripts, you should be able to copy/paste them somewhere and run them manually and see where it is breaking.

I tried installing BlueVPN on my Nexus 7...so how do we connect with the N900?

BlueVPN tries to connect to my N900, but doesn't work. Help!

If you are using CM 10.1 on your Nexus 7 with a kernel that supports Ad-Hoc wifi you will be able to connect to N900 hotspot. I have tried this and it works.

    Nexus 7 3G
    ROM - CM 10.1 Final
    Kernel - TIMUR (Usb-host)

    N900
    Hotspot using Qt Mobile Hotspot

It won't work all the time... on the TouchPad best chance was after a reboot, second/3rd connects almost always failed.
Try to play with the (alternate) connection settings in BlueVPN.

EDIT: you installed the ICS+ version, did you? (and not the older for Honeycomb or lower)
