I may be too addicted to my N810. I can't leave it alone. I'm sure my wife will throw it out of the window someday.

I have my laptop which to be honest would be faster to do things but instead I lie on the sofa, sit in the kitchen, ect and play around with this wonderful toy.

Anyone else having the same sort of problems?

    Ps. written with the tablet

This is why in Nokia's wisdom, they only made the batteries last so long--otherwise you'd never put it down!

I think you're describing a common issue... Has anyone heard of a support group for IT widows?

When I was testing the GPS add-on, my wife started calling my IT "Nokey." As in: "Did Nokey say to turn?"

And: "You only want to talk with Nokey."

And: "You only spend time with Nokey and Adele."

    Me: "Adele?"

Wife: "That laptop you got — Adele."

(light goes on: the new Dell 820 laptop from work)

    Me: "Yes, dear."

You guys are going about it all wrong... You need to be getting your wives devices too! That way they'll develop their own addiction ;-) That's what my husband did 5 years ago - got me my first Palm pda (Sony Clie). I was resistant at first, but resistance was futile and now I've been fully assimilated to the point where I'm fully hacking my N810 (running KDE, writing some shell scripts). My husband couldn't be prouder

I would get them Palm at first - only because there's more software immediately available that will draw your wives in not to mention fashion accessories (Vaja and Piel Frama cases).

My developer coupon is being used to get my wife a device. Nokia provided this device to allow me to do more development, and thats exactly what I am using it for

Take it from PCQ, keep them women happy, get em hooked early

Word! I noticed it helped a bit when I got my wife an iPod Touch. She's really fond of it and hasn't complained as much as before. Just need to get her hooked up a bit more

Haha, luckily in my girlfriend's case, whenever she's around me near my electrical devices things start acting funky. Well not really, but we like to joke that it's her fault when electronics things start doing odd things . Her last laptop caught on fire lol.

    I'm TZ, and I'm a Tabletoholic.

The internet is addictive. The Tablet is a concentrated form.
