    Hi all;
    with pleasure I announce here my first (closed-source for now) MeeGo app QuickBar!

    * Can't find the app you used yesterday in your overcrowded Home Screen?
    * Want access to the QuickLaunch bar even in the home screen?
    * Want to reduce the nr of clicks?

    Get QuickBar now:
    http://store.ovi.com/content/368551

    IMPORTANT : Pre-start inclusion (NOKIA-dependent)!!
    FOR THIS TO WORK, IN CASE YOU BUY THE APP PLEASE LEAVE YOUR FEEDBACK ON OVI STORE, IT WILL INCREASE CHANCES TO GET THE APP INTO PRE-START LIST!

    IMPORTANT #2: In case any apps that you launch do not show up, please send the files you find in

    /home/user/.config/GiuliettaSW

    to

    users.giulietta@gmail.com

    COMPATIBLE WITH UNRESTRICTED-SYSUI BY coderus;
    Ver 2.0 allows for hiding the bar.

    IMPORTANT #3:

    FasterN9 might affect reactivity of the app (TBC). If you have FasterN9 installed, laggish appearing of QuickBar might happen.

    QuickBar is a status bar "functional augmenting" app, and is meant to provide access to the last 5 (from homescreen) used apps , as well as to the apps configured in the QuickLaunch Bar directly from the status bar screen!

    Please post any issues you might find / improvement suggestions here, the app is far from perfect, either here or post at users.giulietta@gmail.com

    Process name (usefull for killing): lancia

    Additional features coming up!

    NOTE : Currently it supports home screen entries of type "Application" only; "Link" type apps will be shown as browser (known issue)

    NEXT VERSION : 2.0.2
    ETA IS : 16.11.13 (estimated)

    New in Ver 2.0.2:
    =====================
    A fix for the boot launch
    A fix for the missing gallery service app

    New in Ver 2.0:
    =====================
    a) New SWIPE MECHANICS
    - Swipe UP to switch lists
    - Swipe DOWN to HIDE Quickbar (usefull if you do not want to tweak
    coderus's unrestricted sysui with Garp-level-crazy mods).
    - Fixed Swipe to work properly (didnt realize it was broken heh)!
    b) Added SCROLLING
    - now last 15 apps visible
    c) Custom .conf file for Whatsapp fix included in release
    - fix bloody rotation (problem on profilematic, see http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...5&postcount=69)
    d) added setting for switching off QuickBar launch on boot

    Bugs:
    =======================
    - xdg-open based softwares not recognized.
    - Quicklaunch bar actions not refereshed automatically
    - Setting for displaying default launch bar (QuickLaunch / Last used apps)
    - Other notifications?
    - Application extensions?

    Done:
    - Fix for missing gallery preview service icon
    - swipe improvements
    - properly support multiple terminal-based-apps [FIX IN 1.0.5]
    - Fix for facebook client (currently occasionally not recognized) [FIX IN 1.0.5]
    - Fix for Rocket Twitter client [FIX IN 1.0.5]
    - check battery drainage
    - Icon fix

    Has anyone ever tried to get his app in the pre-started list?

    I am particularly puzzled about possible extensions. Any ideas are of course welcomed!

    Hey,
    thanks for the notification!
    The mechanis for app discovery is a bit buggy;
    I will put this on the fix list for the next release.

    No, does not. It is meant to give access to it on screens where it does not show (homescreen, news feed..)

    Great to see new apps developed. Will try this out and leave feedback to store.

    But first something important. Is this compatible with Coderus of MAG's Unrestricted system UI????

    I do not see any reason for it not to be;
    as it is a separate app as sysui it should not have any
    issues. The only ones i could think of is overlapping the windows..

    Please post your feedback here if you try, it will help finding solutions

    Nice.

    You dont have any screenshots from it working landscape?

    I would like it more if you could add your own 5 apps, not 5 latest.

    hmm that is actually doable with the quicklaunch bar,
    which in turn is accesible via swype from quickbar .

    There are two views in the app
    - 5 last used apps
    - quicklaunch bar apps (same .desktop files)

    The icons should change as you use your apps or as you chabge the quicklaunch ones. If not, there is a bug, please let me.know and ill fix asap!
