I never remember what icon is which program (and the tiny white text below usually isnt readable because it gets mixed up with the background) , so the menu as it is has been useless to me.

For me the important part is not how pretty it is to look at, but rather how easy it is to use. So the small icons arent that necessary
Also, i would like a black font. it is much easier for the eyes (and also for a camera...) to see a black font on a light background

I had some problems with the FAM, so maybe I won't continue it, but changing the colour of the font is easy I think

Just make the space between the textlines narrower and the font black, so will it be a huge improvement for me

I can do that, but there is a small problem with the selection... I have to find and change the selection of the "icon" because it does not select the right one when the names are really close. I will keep you updated

I just checked the source, it is hard for me to understand because it is C++ and clutter, and not C and GTK. But i think there is something going on in hd-launcher.c line 800+
